Linux Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides financial and advisory support to the free and open software community. We have given away over $750,000 to open source events and development around the world since our founding in 1999 using funds raised through our line of credit cards and direct donations.

Linux Fund is proud to announce the first European and Business credit card to support open source: the Linux Fund UK Business Credit Card
Available this March and featuring actual OGD1 circuit board artwork, this card is proof that Linux means business.
Linux Fund supports IDLELO 2010

Linux Fund is raising $25,000 for the Training and Community Summit sessions of FOSSFA's IDLELO 2010 conference this May in Accra, Ghana. This money will provide infrastructure for these sessions and bring training specialists from around Africa to this leading African open source event.
2010 Q1 Project Status Report

While 2009 was a challenging year across the nonprofit sector, we are pleased to report that our:
- Gnash OpenStreetMap project is funded and complete
- Inkscape project is funded and in progress
- LiVES project was completed in July, 2009
- OGD1 project is entering production
- gEDA/PCB project's first stage is in testing
- Ubuntu LoCo project's first target has been met
- VectorSection project has been revised to improve the specification of the Open Vector Drafting standard and is in progress
- BSD Fund pcc project builds a bootable OpenBSD x86 kernel with AMD64 in progress
