Some of the projects we have sponsored in the past:

Blender is open source software (OSS) for 3D modeling, animation, rendering, post-production, interactive creation and playback. Available for all major operating systems under the GNU General Public License. The Blender Foundation is an independent Dutch organization acting as a non-profit public benefit corporation,

Debian, a free operating system based on the Linux Kernel, is developed and distributed by Software in the Public Interest (SPI) a 501(c)(3).

FreeGeek, a 501(c)(3) that recycles used computers and related technology to provide computers, education, internet access and job skills training to those in need.

Freenode, a 501(c)(3) that provides discussion facilities for the Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) communities. They also support related not-for-profit organizations and communities and organizations. Their network currently has nearly 30,000 users.

PersonalTelco, a 501(c)(3) that promotes the idea that 802.11 ("Wi-Fi") technology is both cool and empowering. They started by turning houses and apartments into wireless hot spots ("nodes"), then began building nodes in public locations such as parks and coffee shops. Currently supporting over 100 active nodes, their goal is to cover an entire city.

Linux International also known as LI, is a world-wide non-profit association of end users who are dedicated to furthering the acceptance and use of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS).

OpenSSH is a FREE version of the SSH connectivity tools that technical users of the Internet rely on. Users of telnet, rlogin, and ftp may not realize that their password is transmitted across the Internet unencrypted, but it is. OpenSSH encrypts all traffic (including passwords) to effectively eliminate eavesdropping, connection hijacking, and other attacks. Additionally, OpenSSH provides secure tunneling capabilities and several authentication methods, and supports all SSH protocol versions.

Seattle Community Colocation Project (SCCP) offers hosting and colocation services for the web sites of non-profits, social justice organizations, free software projects, and linux hobbyists.

The TeX Users Group (TUG) provides an organization for those who have an interest in typography and font design, and are users of the TeX typesetting system invented by Donald Knuth. TUG is run by and for its members and represents the interests of TeX users worldwide.

WikiMedia Foundation, a 501(c)(3) that hosts web-based content, including Wikipedia, an encyclopedia written collaboratively by thousands of volunteers, with editions in roughly 200 different languages. Wikipedia is one of the most popular reference sites on the internet, receiving around 60 million hits per day. Wikimedia' other projects include Wikibooks, Wikitionary, Wikinews, Wikisource, Wikiquote, Wikispecies and Meta-Wiki.
