Available today, the Linux Fund UK Business Credit Card allows UK businesses to engage in real business and real community support simultaneously, adding to the over £500,000 that Linux Fund has given to open source projects and events to date. Not only is the Linux Fund UK Business Credit Card a solid all-around credit resource thanks to its added reporting and competitive rates and benefits, it is also a proven conversation starter with its Tux the penguin mascot.

The Linux Fund UK Business Credit Card is issued by MBNA. It offers competitive interest rates with 0% p.a. on card purchases for 9 months and 0% p.a. on balance and money transfers for 3 months*, 17.9% p.a. (variable) thereafter (a £29 annual fee applies). The Linux Fund UK Business Credit Card also offers up to 57 days interest free on all card purchases (when customers pay their statement balance in full and on time every month), unlimited additional cardholders plus free online account management, Purchase Protection** and Employee Misuse Insurance**.

"This is exactly the kind of card we want to offer to reflect the explosive growth and level of maturity achieved by Free and Open Source Software this last decade. Linux and Open Source are unquestionably ready for business having already revolutionized academia and scientific research. We are proud that this launch helps set the tone for the next decade and allows businesses to support the nonprofit software community in a sustainable manner." said Michael Dexter, Linux Fund Program Director
